Chelsfield Housemartins was formed 25 years ago in Feb 1994 by Anne Mead and friends to give an outing each week to people living in the area who are unable to get out without a ‘helping arm’ and transport. Sadly it has been announced that the Group will close at the end of April 2019 due to ‘the ‘lack of fresh blood’ to take up the leadership reins.’
We currently meet in Chelsfield Village Hall. We go out for lunch at least once a month.
Our drivers and helpers are volunteers and we meet at different times on a Monday, depending on the activity. The monthly programme of events can be seen in the Church Magazine.
If you, or someone you know, might like to join us please contact Ruth Cox firstname.lastname@example.org
Although not a controlled group of the PCC we have pleasure in supporting them. The Housemartins are an important outreach into the local community.
